Hold Onto Summer: Grow Your Own Dried Botanicals is a half-day workshop taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Gathering Ground in Glasgow.
What to Expect
- Learn low-input, low-maintenance ways to grow, dry, and preserve flowers and plants in Scotland.
- Discover which flowers and plants to choose, how to grow and harvest them, and various preservation methods.
- Create your own autumnal dried-flower wreath using supplied materials to take home.
- Participate in a practical bulb-planting session in the Gathering Ground garden, weather permitting.
Who Should Attend
This workshop is suitable for everyone, as no previous gardening, growing, or wreath-making experience is needed.
Practical Information
- The main indoor workshop runs from 11 am–1 pm, followed by a short break and a gardening session from 1:30 pm (weather permitting).
- Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event.
Programme
- 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Main indoor workshop covering growing, drying, and preserving flowers, and creating an autumnal wreath.
- 1:30 PM onwards: Short gardening session for practical bulb-planting in the Gathering Ground garden (weather permitting).
