Homegrown Mississauga Summer Season Garden Care Workshop Series will take place on July 21, 2026 at Cooksville Library in Mississauga.

What to Expect

• Learn garden care and maintenance fundamentals for the Summer season.
• Topics include companion planting, interplanting, succession planting, crop rotation, maximizing the harvest, harvesting techniques, organic fertilizers, and pest management techniques.
• Emphasis on organic, sustainable gardening techniques that respond to Mississauga’s changing climate.
• Participate in a hands-on gardening activity involving organic fertilizers and natural pest control solutions.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is great for residents with limited or no gardening experience. Everyone is welcome; children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Practical Information

This workshop is 1 hour and 30 minutes long and will be conducted in person. Please dress appropriately for the hands-on gardening activity.
