The Homegrown Mississauga Fall Season Garden Care Workshop Series will take place on Tuesday, September 29 at the Mississauga Valley Community Centre in Mississauga.

What to Expect

• Learn fall gardening basics, from planting crops and garlic to seed saving, healthy soil, and preparing your garden for winter.
• Understand garden care and maintenance fundamentals for the Fall season like planting fall crops & cover crops.
• Discover tips on how to put your garden to bed.
• Focus on organic, sustainable gardening techniques that respond to Mississauga’s changing climate.
• Learn about healthy soil, water conservation, and other low-impact gardening practices.
• Participate in a hands-on gardening activity indoors involving saving seeds from seed heads.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is great for residents with limited or no gardening experience. Everyone is welcome; children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
