Homegrown Mississauga Summer Season Garden Care Workshop Series takes place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Mississauga Valley Community Centre in Mississauga.

What to Expect

• Learn garden care and maintenance fundamentals for the summer season.
• Topics include companion planting, interplanting, succession planting, crop rotation, maximizing harvest, harvesting techniques, organic fertilizers, and pest management.
• Emphasis on organic, sustainable gardening techniques that respond to Mississauga’s changing climate through healthy soil and water conservation.
• Participate in a hands-on gardening activity involving organic fertilizers and natural pest control solutions.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is ideal for residents with limited or no gardening experience. Everyone is welcome, though children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
