The Homegrown Mississauga Summer Season Garden Care Workshop Series will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Hazel McCallion Central Library in Mississauga, ON.

What to Expect

• Learn garden care and maintenance fundamentals for the Summer season.
• Cover topics such as companion planting, interplanting, succession planting, crop rotation, maximizing the harvest, and harvesting techniques.
• Gain knowledge on organic fertilizers and pest management techniques.
• Participate in a hands-on gardening activity involving organic fertilizers and natural pest control solutions.
• Focus on organic, sustainable gardening techniques responsive to Mississauga’s changing climate, promoting healthy soil and water conservation.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is ideal for residents with limited or no gardening experience. Everyone is welcome, though children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
