About
Admirable Landscapes LLC is a Portland, Oregon landscape maintenance and construction company founded in 1996 by John Knoernschild, the "Garden Samurai." Serving the Portland Metro area with a special focus on Northeast Portlandβalong with Gresham, West Linn, Gladstone, and North, Northwest, and Southwest Portlandβthe company built its reputation on honesty and integrity over decades of residential and commercial landscape work. Services included lawn mowing and lawn care, ornamental and shrub pruning, leaf and weed control, bark mulch application, landscape design and consulting, one-time cleanups, hauling, and full landscape construction and maintenance. Admirable Landscapes was licensed and insured in both Oregon (Landscape Contractors Board LCB #8129; City of Portland License #653499) and Washington (ADMIRLL985PD), and was a member of the Oregon Landscape Contractors Association. Note: in 2020 the company's Portland/Metro maintenance clients were sold to Sunrise Landscape Professionals, and its Oregon license is currently lapsed; operations have since transitioned to the owner's Garden Samurai brand.
