In their words

“Front foundation planting for a 2-story colonial house. Northern exposure, deep shade under a cantilevered roof. Hard clay soil, Zone 7a. Extreme deer pressure—suggest ONLY highly deer-resistant plants. Total length is 75 feet (split into a 45ft walkway segment and a 30ft extension segment). Bed depth is a consistent 6 feet. Design a low-maintenance, staggered two-row layout keeping window views clear. Preference is for a variety of individual, colorful, low plants, in an English Cottage style, rather than long sections of the same plant or bush.”
