About This Event

It’s Bloomin’ America will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at The Lamplighter Restaurant in Delmont, PA.

What to Expect

  • Indulge in a 1780 lunch buffet featuring Virginia ham, lemon chicken, English minty peas, potato cakes, sourdough bread, cornbread, potato soup, assorted pickles, apple cobbler, and drinks.
  • Be entertained by Hanna’s Town Reenactments of actual court hearings from the 1780 period.
  • Stroll through a lovely patriotic flower show, hosted by the Pittsburgh Area Judges Council, Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania, and National Garden Clubs, Inc.
  • Gardeners can enter their gladiola, herbs, container plants, terrariums, roses, vegetables, and other plants for judging and the chance to win a ribbon.
  • Enjoy the free, open-to-the-public, and handicap-accessible patriotic flower show in the Ballroom, even without attending the buffet.

Who Should Attend

This event is ideal for anyone interested in historical reenactments, traditional cuisine, and especially enthusiasts of flower shows and plant competitions. Gardeners of all skill levels are encouraged to participate by entering their plants for judging.

Practical Information

The event runs from 12 PM to 3 PM. The lunch buffet ticket is $17.80. Fish House Punch, an alcoholic drink, is available for an additional $4.00. The flower show is free and open to the public from 12 PM to 3 PM. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event.
