About This Event

The “Gardening on Slopes” workshop takes place on June 27, 2026, at The NC Arboretum in Asheville, NC.

What to Expect

  • Participants are invited to send photos of their own slopes in advance for discussion during the onsite class.

This workshop is ideal for gardeners in Western North Carolina and beyond who manage slopes in their landscape and seek practical solutions to prevent erosion, select appropriate plants, and ensure stability and beauty in their gardens.

Practical Information

The workshop runs for 2 hours, from 10 AM to 12 PM, with doors opening at 9:30 AM. Attendees must be aged 18+. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. Members of The NC Arboretum can receive a 10% discount by entering a promo code at checkout. Scholarship assistance is available for those for whom the cost is a barrier.
