About This Event

Cyanotype: The Art of Sun-Printed Botanicals is a hands-on workshop led by Sonia Pal, introducing adults to one of the earliest photographic processes. This workshop is offered on multiple dates, including Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Lune Spark Center for Creativity in Apex, NC. Participants will use sunlight and natural materials to create blue-and-white prints while learning the historical and scientific foundations of the technique. The experience is beginner-friendly, tactile, and designed to offer a restorative, screen-free creative reset.

  • A hands-on introduction to the historic cyanotype process, a 19th-century photographic printing technique.
  • Learn how sunlight and natural objects are used to create luminous blue-and-white prints.
  • Explore slow art-making as a restorative, analog ritual.
