Nourishing Gardens Presents: Beyond the Garden Bed, taking place from September 5 to October 3, 2026, at 8000 Harriet Tubman Lane, Columbia, MD.

  • Gain hands-on experience replacing turf with ecologically beneficial gardens.

  • The course will be led by Em Whiddon, Nourishing Gardens Program Coordinator, in collaboration with other CEI experts.

Who Should Attend

This training is designed for individuals interested in going beyond the basics of food gardening, focusing on advanced topics like permaculture design, native and edible landscapes, and food systems. Participants will engage in both classroom and hands-on experiential learning.

Practical Information

  • Cost: $159
  • Age requirement: 18+
  • Free parking is available.
  • Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event.
  • Lunch is not provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own and have access to fridge space.
