About This Event

Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) Class will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Bert J. Harris Jr. Agricultural Center in Sebring, FL.

What to Expect

Training for GI-BMP certification.
Obtain your GI-BMP certification after a post-test.
Up to four (4) Continuing Education Units available in categories like General Standard Core, Ornamental & Turf, and Limited Urban Fertilizer.
Learn best management practices for environmentally responsible landscaping and water protection in Florida.

Who Should Attend

This course is mandatory for all commercial fertilizer applicators in Florida (per s. 482.1562, F.S.) and is ideal for individuals involved in green industries, including landscaping, lawn care, and residential pest control.

Practical Information

The class runs from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The registration fee is $30.00 (plus Eventbrite fee) if pre-registered by September 15, or $40.00 (plus Eventbrite fee) after September 15 or at the door. The fee includes light refreshments, lunch, and class materials. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event.
