This course is designed for landscape professionals seeking to integrate wildlife-friendly landscaping practices into their services and client interactions.

Practical Information

Tickets for the entire 5-part series can be purchased for $100. Individual sessions are available for $25 each. Limited scholarships are available. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. Each session is 1 hour and 30 minutes long.

Programme

  1. September 8: Why Landscape for Wildlife? Learn about the benefits of landscaping for wildlife. Develop a pitch you can use in encouraging clients to work with you on wildlife-friendly landscaping.
  2. September 23: Communicating with Clients about Wildlife-Friendly Landscaping Learn about ways their clients may want to engage with wildlife in their yards and concerns they may have. Use this information to create a short list of interview questions you can use to understand your clients’ desires and concerns.
  3. October 7: Assessing Landscapes for Wildlife Suitability Learn about features that add value for different types of wildlife, including birds, pollinators, gopher tortoises, and other species. Practice finding information about wildlife that you and your clients value the most, and assess one of the properties that you manage.
