The “ROLO Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness Course for Operatives” will take place on October 30, 2026, at the Lenham Community Centre in Lenham.     • Access - safe use of access equipment (ladders, mobile elevating work platforms), fall protection, emergency provision, lone working.
    • Work equipment - safe use of power tools, abrasive wheels, lifting equipment, site plant, vehicles.
    • Noise and vibration - harmful effects and control measures.
    • Electricity on site - safe use of electrical equipment and distribution, dealing with buried and overhead electrical services.
    • Gases - safe working with pressure systems, gas cylinders, effects of industrial gases.
    • Hazardous substances - effects, control under COSHH, hygiene facilities.
    • Use of pesticides - correct control, use, and personal protective equipment.
    • Manual handling - preventing harm from incorrect handling and risk control.
    • Excavations and confined spaces - safety protocols.
    • Emergency procedures - fire, first aid.

  7. End test: Multi-choice question paper with short answer questions; 75% pass mark required for ROLO accreditation.
