Botanical Sketchbook Workshop at Summer Leys will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Summer Leys Nature Reserve in Wollaston.

What to Expect

• Observe the changing seasons and wild plants in their natural habitat.
• Record findings in a sketchbook, experimenting with graphite pencil, coloured pencils, pens, and watercolour washes.
• Develop your own style of sketchbooking and nature journaling.
• Meet like-minded people in a natural setting.
• Enjoy hot drinks during the workshop.
• Work outdoors, with the option to shelter in the visitor centre in case of bad weather.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in botanical art, nature observation, and developing creative journaling skills. No prior drawing experience is required.

Practical Information

The workshop runs from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Participants can choose to have a sketchbook included with their ticket when booking. Car parking charges apply for Summer Leys, with free parking for Wildlife Trust BCN members who register their vehicles.
