Open Gardening Day

Open Gardening Day is a recurring event taking place on Wednesdays and Sundays, from 11am-3pm, at the ITAL COMMUNITY GARDEN in London.

What to Expect

• Join to dig, plant, and share green thumbs with friends old and new.
• Learn new skills, meet new people, or find solace in soil in a beautiful and peaceful, intergenerational community garden.
• Grow culturally diverse foods, from scotch bonnets to squashes, utilizing a polytunnel and greenhouse.
• Observe wildlife in the pond and wildflower bank.
• Participate in discussion circles, edutainment activities, food growing workshops for children, and mental wellbeing sessions.
• Benefit from facilities including a compost toilet, summerhouse shelter, and wheelchair & raised bed accessibility.

Practical Information

Guests are invited to drop in anytime between 11am-3pm on Wednesdays and Sundays. Light refreshments are always available. Attendees are encouraged to bring a pair of gardening gloves and a reusable water bottle for top-ups.
