Open Gardening Day

Open Gardening Day is a recurring event, held on multiple dates (Wednesdays and Sundays from 11am-3pm) at ITAL COMMUNITY GARDEN- The Black Gate next to, London.

What to Expect

• Dig, plant, and share green thumbs with friends
• Learn new skills in a peaceful, intergenerational community garden
• Grow culturally diverse foods using a polytunnel and greenhouse
• Engage in discussion circles, edutainment activities, food growing workshops for children, and mental wellbeing sessions
• Access facilities including a compost toilet, summerhouse shelter, and wheelchair & raised beds accessible areas
• Enjoy light refreshments always on hand

Who Should Attend

This event is open to individuals of all ages and skill levels interested in community gardening, sustainable food growing, environmental learning, and connecting with others in a vibrant outdoor space.

Practical Information

Opening times: Wednesdays and Sundays, 11am-3pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring a pair of gardening gloves and a reusable water bottle. Please note the garden will be shut on Sunday 6th September for volunteer training. Refunds are available up to 7 days before specific event dates, though this is primarily a drop-in event.
