Open Gardening Day is an ongoing event held on Wednesdays and Sundays at ITAL COMMUNITY GARDEN - The Black Gate next to, London.

What to Expect

• Join to dig, plant, and share green thumbs with friends old and new.
• Learn new skills, meet new people, or find solace in soil in a beautiful and peaceful, intergenerational community garden.
• Grow culturally diverse foods as a response to food insecurity and food sovereignty, using a polytunnel and greenhouse.
• Explore the wildlife pond and wildflower bank, and participate in discussion circles, edutainment activities, food growing workshops for children, and mental wellbeing sessions.
• Benefit from facilities such as a compost toilet, summerhouse shelter, and wheelchair & raised beds accessibility, with light refreshments always available.
