Growing Together Workshop Series

The Growing Together Workshop Series offers an excellent opportunity to explore gardening basics, gardening with children, pollinator gardens, and gardening as we age. This series will take place across multiple dates in 2026, starting June 6th and concluding October 17th, at GreenUP Ecology Park in Peterborough, ON.

What to Expect

• Explore gardening basics, gardening with children, pollinator gardens, and gardening as we age
• No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty
• Events are designed to be flexible and inclusive, with sheltered activities in heavy rain
• An accessible washroom is available

Who Should Attend

This workshop series is for anyone interested in gardening, from beginners to those looking to expand their knowledge in specific areas like pollinator gardens or gardening with children. It’s designed to bring generations together through a shared love of gardening.

Practical Information

Each workshop session is approximately 2 hours long. Attendees should bring sturdy, closed-toe shoes, long pants, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), a rain coat, work gloves (extras provided), a water bottle, and extra snacks. Please note that some areas of the Park are not fully accessible to mobility device users.
