About This Event

Homeschooling Permaculture Kids Gardening School – Term 3 is a 9-week program running from Monday, July 27 to Friday, September 25, 2026, at Australiana Pioneer Village in Wilberforce.

What to Expect

  • Hands-on, nature-based learning program rooted in permaculture principles
  • Feeding and caring for farm animals (chickens, ducks, quails, bunnies, goats)
  • Garden maintenance, planting, collecting eggs, composting, and food preparation
  • Real-life skills development, confidence building, and connection to nature
  • Free play and goat cuddles in a safe, outdoor learning environment
  • Led by an experienced permaculture educator with inclusive teaching qualifications

Who Should Attend

This program is designed especially for homeschooling families with children aged 5–17 years interested in gardening, permaculture, and homesteading skills.

Practical Information

  • Price: $180 per term (first child), $130 per term (siblings)
  • NDIS Supported: Invoices available for self- and plan-managed participants.
  • What to bring: Gumboots or enclosed shoes, water bottle, morning/afternoon tea, hat, gardening gloves (optional).

  3. Week 3: Grow More for Free – Plant Propagation (Monday 10th August Friday 14th August)
  4. Week 4: Root Crops – Growing Underground Treasures (Monday 17th August Friday 21st August)
  5. Week 5: Native Bees & Backyard Biodiversity (Monday 24th August Friday 28th August)
  6. Week 6: Edible Flowers & Spring Colour (Monday 31st August Friday 4th September)
  7. Week 7: Corn from Seed to Snack (Monday 7th September Friday 11th September)
  8. Week 8: Weed & Feed – Preparing for Spring (Monday 14th September Friday 18th September)
  9. Week 9: Spring Planting Celebration (Monday 21st September Friday 25th September)
