Landscaping - Young Adult Ranger Work Experience at Alexandra Park will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Alexandra Park in Poole.

What to Expect

• Environmental work experience for 16-25 year olds
• Cover various green skills
• Install infrastructure within Alexandra Park, including building a retainer wall near a badger set
• Learn to use tools safely and develop landscaping techniques
• Free sessions, with no prior experience needed
• Sessions are part of the Youth for Climate and Nature scheme (YouCAN)

Who Should Attend

This session is for young people aged 16-25 who are looking for work experience in an environmental role, something to add to their CV, or a career change to a green job. Attendees must be able to attend and work independently, and be responsible for themselves and their conduct, especially when using tools and working with the public.

• Duration: 3 hours (1:30 PM - 4:30 PM).
• Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.
