The Garden Sketchbook: 5-Part Workshop will be held from Tuesday, June 2 to Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Toronto Botanical Garden in Toronto, ON.

What to Expect

• Join a five-week introduction course to sketching plants outdoors.
• Develop observational skills in a garden setting.
• Learn techniques in line, shape, proportion, and the fundamentals of colour mixing.
• Receive constructive feedback to increase creative confidence.
• Art materials will be provided for all participants.
• In the event of rain, sessions will move into the library to draw terrarium plants.

Who Should Attend

This workshop welcomes beginners interested in learning how to sketch plants and developing their artistic skills in a natural environment.

Practical Information

Registration costs $130 for the public and $120 for Toronto Botanical Garden members, plus applicable taxes and fees. Sessions are held on Tuesdays from 1 PM to 3 PM.
