Homegrown Mississauga Summer Season Garden Care Workshop Series will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Port Credit Library in Mississauga.

What to Expect

• Learn gardening basics at our Summer Season Garden Care and Maintenance Workshop.
• Walk through garden care and maintenance fundamentals for the Summer season like companion planting, interplanting, succession planting, crop rotation, maximizing the harvest, harvesting techniques, organic fertilizers and pest management techniques.
• Emphasis will be placed on organic, sustainable gardening techniques that respond to Mississauga’s changing climate through the promotion of healthy soil, water conservation, and other low-impact gardening.
• This workshop will include a hands-on gardening activity involving organic fertilizers and natural pest control solutions.

Who Should Attend

Great for residents with limited or no gardening experience. Everyone is welcome. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
